Setting up a Store Front/E-commerce?

I am starting a new business selling herbal dietary supplements and other types of herbal products. I have knowledge in building websites, however, the whole e-commerce is new to me and I am not quite sure how to accept payments on my website. Are there any good websites that will host your store for you, let you accept credit card payments and customize/update your website through them? All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
