Anyone wanna edit a paragraph? Short one, mind you.?
In the Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe, the arrogant (sounds improper to use 'y') narrator murders the old man. (The police coming is not the consequence of his action) When the police arrive to the old man's house to investigate the matter, the narrator invites them inside to prove that no crime was committed. To arrogantly prove his innocence, the narrator invites the police to sit and chat in the old man's bedroom and he places his chair directly where the corpse is hidden. This act proves his arrogance further as he is so proud of his work and certain that he would not get caught that he silently mocks the police of their cluelessness.
