The Great Gatsby.. easy ten point!!?

hey.. i have a short answer question that i have to answer on the american dream in the Great Gatsby.. I want to say that the american dream is shown as a corrupt idea in the book.. and the example that i came up with to support this are myrtle leaving her extremly hard working husband for a rich guy.. and other examples from the story that support this would be greatly appreciated... thanks!!!
