First timer needs internet dating advice?

I recently joined a dating site, found some very nice girls, and I'm planning to meet at least one of them. In the past any girlfriend I had was a friend first, or we went to school together or something like that. In this case we're getting to know each other, knowing that dating is our goal so I wonder if things should move faster than they would with a girl in a more conventional situation? What is good first date edicate? I mean...I can't really be holding hands with someone I just met right? I would hope by the end of it, she is comfortable talking with me and might even like me, but I'd be really surprised if girls are willing to hold hands or kiss or something the first time I meet her, even if we both know the intent of dating is there...it just seems forced if its someone you don't know that well. So what do you think? Is the hand on the back okay? Kiss good night? Or should it be completely platonic?
