How do i fix and uninstall interuptions of my trend micro antivirus software?

I'm not computer illiterate so i know how to uninstall a program, but i'm trying to install my new software and it says i must first uninstall the trend software. When i try to do that a window pops up saying there was an interruption. is there a way to get around this? i've tried restoring the computer, restarting it, and i don't have any more ideas. Any help please?
