Is Curtis Martin the most underrated running back of all time?
I think so because he never got the credit he deserved. Running backs in the era he played in got more credit such as, Marshall Faulk, Jerome Bettis, Barry Sanders, Terrell Davis ect. He was as much as a sure bet as the NFL has ever seen. It is surprising that a great running back like him playing in New York didn't get the credit that he deserved. He was a 3rd round pick that had one of the best rookie season for a running back in NFL history with 1487 yards. He had 10 1,000 season in his first 10 years in the league, only barry sanders can lay claim to that and I think Barry is the best running back ever. You can also make the claim that is he the greatest NY Jets player ever. I tried looking for another underrated running back but I can't find one. He should be a first ballot hall of famer next year but Jerome Bettis and Marshall Faulk are up for the hall as well so it might be hard for him to get in next year. If it was up to me all of them would get in next year or at least Marshall Faulk and Curtis Martin would.
